Paper’s done. I just have to shower and catch the bus to class.
There’s a concept - catching a bus to class. Can’t do that at Albion.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited for a semester to end than I am this one. I think perhaps returning to school right away was probably a mistake. I assumed it would be easy but I didn’t think the likelihood of burning out was so high. I should have taken a year off or something.
Also, I’m waiting on two very critical pieces of mail from the State of Michigan. I sure hope they get here today, or I’m not sure what I’m going to do about the rest of this week.
Q:What's worse than not being able to go to a Ben Folds concert you bought tickets to?
A:The fact that you wasted $14 on ticket insurance and it turns out that what barred you from attending the concert is not covered under the insurance policy so you're just out $100+ when you really, really need a $100+.
I think I may be the only one who isn’t excited/freaking out/bought tickets very much in advance for the Harry Potter movie.
But don’t get me wrong…
I love Harry Potter. None of my Harry Potter books have their spines intact anymore and I too have devoured 700-page behemoths in a day and a half.
But the movies are mostly unimpressive to me and going to movies on opening nights kind of blows anyway. Maybe it’s because I worked at a movie theater once and that kind of took all the fun out of it.
Well. I got another (pretty awful) exam back, my vacuum ate part of the nice bathmat my mom gave me, and I still haven’t gotten a (very important) piece of mail that I’m expecting and is pretty much crucial to my existence. Basically.
But… my apartment is clean (except the bedroom), I’m watching Bridezillas unimpeded by my male roommates, and I have Oreos.
